I weave nutrition advice into all my acupuncture consultation sessions. Balancing my knowledge of Chinese medicine food energetics with Western naturopathic nutrition, this is not a one size fit all approach.
For example those with Yin deficiency I might advise more oily, yin rich foods such as avocado, eggs, banana, spinach, nettle, seafoods, pork, sweet potato and honey. For those with too much ‘damp’ I may advise reducing dairy, banana’s, cashew nuts and encourage adding aduki beans, green tea, garlic, turnips, spring onions, and spices such as cardamom, caraway and clove.
Bringing together the branches of my training in acupuncture, naturopathic nutrition, Chinese medicine and food energetics, I will work with you, understanding your lifestyle, emotions and mindset to achieve your health goals. I offer highly individualised treatment.
I am a true believer that long-term health improvements are not based on will-power or deprivation, but on genuinely building a loving relationship with yourself and establishing a positive support system.
Please note I always bring nutrition into my acupuncture sessions, however I also offer separate nutrition consultations with microbiome testing, if you would like to work with me please book a nutrition + microbiome initial consultation.
