Wherever you are on your fertility journey, I'm here to help

Some of my patients are just beginning to try to  conceive naturally and therefore at the very first stages of this enquiry. Asking that important but largely overlooked question: how to gain optimal fertility for when they are ready to start actively trying to conceive (TTC).

Others may have been on the contraceptive pill for years and suddenly feel ready to conceive, only to realise that their menstrual cycle does not regulate as quickly as they had hoped.

Others still may have been trying for years, with a label of ‘unexplained infertility’ and are reaching out for support to conceive naturally, to give themselves the best opportunity to do this before exploring other options such as IVF.

Wherever you are on your journey I am here to help.

I’ve helped many women and couples to start the family that they have so longed for. While I never make any promises, as this a unique journey for everyone, I do offer continuity of care, guidance when making difficult decisions about next steps if things haven’t gone as planned and absolute support for you every step of the way.

If time allows, I will work with you on a four month preconception plan to get you in the best fertile health possible. I am always interested in a full and holistic approach, giving space for you to ask questions, explore your hopes and fears, and getting you physically resourced and mentally/emotionally prepared not just for conception, but for the pregnancy and birth that you are working towards.

For women I will assess blood and scan results, look at any relevant Western diagnosis and using a Chinese medicine approach to understand patterns of disharmony and to balance your menstrual cycle.

For men I will assess sperm analysis results, using acupuncture and personalised diet and lifestyle advise to help improve future outcomes.

For unexplained infertility, we focus on stress reduction techniques, bringing blood-flow to the reproductive organs and using acupuncture to improve patterns of disharmony that often show up regardless of the all-clear from Western medical tests. This is where Chinese medicine shines; usually it is not a mystery to me when someone comes into my clinic with a Western diagnosis of ‘unexplained infertility’. For the 30% of couples where this is the case, there is so much that a Chinese-medicine diagnosis can reveal, which then informs my treatment plan, which can begin immediately. Weekly treatments are advised.
